Book Review: The Art of Writing

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Art of Writing: Four Principles for Great Writing that Everyone Needs to Know by Peter Yang is a convenient book that will help you improve your writing, especially if you are writing niche is non-fiction.

When I was reading the author’s book, it reminded me a lot about the book: “The Elements of Style” by Strunk and White.

The writer presents four categories that someone must work on to become a better writer.

The four principles are economy, variety, transparency, and harmony. The author does a great job analyzing them and showing how they will help you achieve writing excellence.

Every category is further enhanced with practical examples that make the book even more useful.

This book is appropriate for beginners that want to create strong writing skills and to experiment in finding their writing style.

Another book that came into my mind when reading Peter’s Yang book is Vogler’s “The Writers Journey: Mythic Structure for Writers.”

If you are serious about writing in any niche, then this book should be on your bookshelf.

Acquiring this book will save you a lot of money and time figuring out how to write; it sets you up for success.
