It is the most useful book I found thus far about the dangers people might get into when they have to be hospitalized.
The book is analyzing the United States health care system, but a lot of the worn doings are present in other countries health care systems like my own (Cyprus).
The law might be a bit different but the issues that the book address can be applied in other countries too. It’s a matter of checking deeper of the legal status of the country’s health care situation.
The books address the fact that we take too many drugs and pay way more than the drugs cost. I liked the fact that the book presents a series of alternative medicine ways which I found very liberating to see.
This book gives hope that you can get sick and not have to pay a fortune and get better. Most of the time what happens is we take too many drugs to maintain the symptoms and not cure the problem, this book deals with this aspect, and it does it very well.
It shows how to take your life and your medical care back from the institutions and shows you what your rights and responsibilities are.
Another new piece of information I loved was the interviews that are presented and are given by experts in various areas of medicine.
In conclusion, I want to say that this book is very useful and helpful in the sense that It shows people that it’s ok to ask the question, to debate, to disagree with their doctors and not just accept anything the doctor says because of they ‘re doctors! Doctors are human beings and the third reason that people die every year from heart attacks and cancer is Medical mistakes done by doctors.
